What does the AI co-host actually do?
It listens to the conversation in your room and does the work a producer would: it surfaces and organizes audience questions, runs polls when the room’s energy shifts, fact-checks specific claims in real time, and sends every attendee a clean recap the moment you wrap. You just talk; the AI handles the room.
How is Phensy different from Zoom or Google Meet?
Zoom and Meet are scheduled meetings for closed groups. Phensy is for live discussion with an audience — tables, AMAs, workshops, office hours — with the AI co-host built in (not a third-party bot). Hosts can sell tickets, and every session ends with an AI recap delivered to attendees.
Can I sell tickets to my live sessions?
Yes. Pro hosts can charge for any table. Stripe-powered checkout handles the payment; attendees receive their join link and the post-session AI recap. The platform fee is a flat 15% of ticket revenue — you keep the rest. Hosts are merchant of record; see the host tax responsibilities note for details.
Do I keep my audience?
Yes — they’re your audience. Phensy doesn’t lock attendees to the platform or rent them back to you. You can promote your next session anywhere, and AI-recap emails are sent in your name to the people who actually attended.
How private are private rooms?
Private rooms are Pro-only. Audio and video flow through your own Jitsi infrastructure; only the AI features (recap, fact-check, polls) talk to the Phensy backend, and that’s configurable. Transcripts are retained only as long as you need them for recap delivery, then expire.
How many people can join a table?
Free tables seat 5 participants and last up to 60 minutes; Pro tables seat 20 and have no time limit. Current ceilings reflect a deliberate small-room focus while we tune live-call performance — caps will rise as the platform matures.
Can I record my sessions?
Recording is on the roadmap for paid hosts; today the AI recap captures the substance of every session (key takeaways, questions, polls, fact-checked claims) and is sent to attendees automatically. If you specifically need a video file of the session, get in touch and we’ll see what we can do on a case-by-case basis.
Is there a free trial of Pro?
Yes — every new account starts with a 7-day Pro trial. No card required up front. After the trial you can keep the Pro features by subscribing, or your account quietly returns to the Free plan with no surprise charges.
